Your Unique Generative Ambient Music (Yugam)
In my continuing search for productive procrastination, I will be adding to my list of things to do, the idea of creating a platform for producing Unique Generative Ambient Music.
My current plan is to build a prototype iphone app, that plays a variety of pre recorded samples at various speeds, timings, volumes, pitches, etc (basically anything I can tweak in the sample play back), and those variables will be controlled by as many variables I can think of that are unique to a listener, location (long and lat), local weather conditions, time of the day, compass direction, battery state, time, date, etc. Any all individual iphone specific data I can get access to. Then play the tune back. Every user will get a unique listen every time they listen.
I think it could be an amazing idea.
